Jose Espinel serves as Regional Senior Vice President of the Texas Region of Comcast Cable, one of Comcast Corporation’s three primary businesses—Comcast Cable, NBCUniversal, and Sky. Comcast Cable is one of the United States’ largest video, high-speed internet, and phone providers to residential customers under the Xfinity brand, and it also provides these services to businesses. He is the top executive responsible for operations, financial performance, customer service and the region’s employees that support over 115 communities in the Greater Houston area. Espinel and his teams are actively working to expand the Xfinity 10G Network in southeast Texas.

Espinel brings more than 25 years of domestic and international industry experience to head one of the nation’s most diverse and growing markets. Espinel, a native of Venezuela, joined Comcast’s Texas region after a successful tenure at AT&T where he was Vice President and General Manager of the Desert Southwest market, leading teams in Arizona, New Mexico and Las Vegas. While in Los Angeles and San Diego, Espinel led AT&T’s consumer mobile business and the Hispanic segment strategy for the region. He also worked with DIRECTV Latin America and Telefonica.

Espinel currently serves on the Greater Houston Partnership’s Board of Directors, working to ensure Houston is one of the world’s best places to live, work, and build a business. He has also held board positions for the Charlotte Community ToolBank and the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and has been actively involved with several non-profit organizations such as Junior Achievement, the American Red Cross and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

In his spare time, Espinel enjoys hiking and competing in triathlons and other endurance sports. He and his wife have two adult sons
